Mavis Flowers is a Labor Management Consultant with over twenty years of progressive and broad based experience in workforce development, talent management, group facilitation, grant writing, contract administration and partnering with stakeholders to mitigate risk and align solutions with organizational strategy.
Prior to joining the Labor Management Project, she worked at CenterLight Health System, most recently, as the Human Resources Director of Systems and Operations where she was responsible for compliance and implemented numerous technological solutions—learning management , performance management and on-boarding systems – which were part of the strategic tools used to develop the organization. In addition to the above role, she previously served as the Corporate Director of Training where she implemented leadership competencies along with competency based tools and training programs for Executives, Directors and Managers. She was successful at writing numerous proposals and secured over 4 million dollars in training grant funds which allowed for extensive workforce and career development programs for thousands of front line staff, in multiple disciplines, many of whom have progressed to receive certifications, 4 year degrees and promotional advancement.
Mavis has also worked in the financial industry for several Fortune 500 companies managing learning functions. She holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership, certifications in Organizational Development and Consulting, is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR and SHRM – SCP certifications). Her greatest passion lies in serving and volunteering with community and faith based organizations that seek to empower the underserved and communities at large.
