The Registered Nurse Training and Job Security Fund (RNTJSF) is a joint program of the 1199SEIU RN Division, the League of Voluntary Hospitals and Homes of New York, and a select group of independent employers. RNTJSF trains teams at the facility level to identify educational needs for 1199SEIU RNs and then provides high-quality training to equip nurses with the skills they need to excel in a rapidly progressing healthcare industry.

RNTJSF educational and training benefits include:

  • Clinical skills training and enhancement.
  • Pre-paid 1199SEIU RN Division Office of Continuing Education seminars and review courses in subjects such as ACLS, PALS, barrier precautions and infection control, and identification and reporting of child abuse.
  • CEU reimbursement for professional seminars, certification review courses and exams.

The Job Security Fund (JSF) provides benefits, additional assistance, and coaching to RNs who are or will be laid off, including continued health insurance and training and RNTJSF Central Placement Office assistance with career counseling, mandatory trainings, and job referrals.
